The last two autumn matches of the Thornton Hickeys Ladies Touch Winter League matches resulted in a home win v Alnwick RFC 4-2 and an away win v Alnwick RFC 3-9.
Four wins out of four puts Tynedale RFC Ladies Touch Rugby team top of the league at the half way point.
Being top of the league is the result of a year of hard work in training, being open to learning new skills, individual work on fitness and total commitment to the team and each other.
We are always on the look out for other women and girls (16+) who would like to give touch rugby and rugby fitness a try!! You can train and get fit without playing matches if you like. You do not need to have played rugby before, or have any prior knowledge. Sense of humour is essential though!
